Celebrating Hispanic Heritage

For two consecutive years, 2023 and 2024, Bergman Communications proudly led the planning and activation of McDonald’s sponsorship of Fiesta Evansville, the region’s largest Latino festival celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. As presenting sponsor, McDonald’s made a bold and authentic community impact, reinforcing its brand presence, building goodwill, and delivering thousands of smiles (and fries) to attendees.

Strategic Impact

Bergman Communications has proudly managed the Fiesta Evansville sponsorship and execution on behalf of McDonald’s, ensuring seamless integration of brand, community, and culture. Across two years, these efforts have yielded:

  • Over 31,000 products sampled
  • More than 520 QR scans for hiring and app engagement
  • $50,000+ in free earned media
  • 39,000 reached on social media 
  • Tangible brand love from more than 15,000 attendees

2023 Activation Highlights

In 2023, McDonald’s participation included an exciting mix of cultural celebration and community engagement.


Ronald McDonald served as master of ceremonies, adding signature energy to the day’s programming. From the McDonald’s Fry Truck, more than 6,000 servings of fan-favorites like World-Famous Fries, Guava & Crème Pies, and Frozen Sprites were sampled. Guests engaged with an oversized Happy Meal coloring box, a prize wheel hosted in partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ohio Valley, and stations highlighting the McDonald’s App and career opportunities. The event drew wide participation from local crew, Owner/Operators, field office partners, and agency teams.

2024 Activation Highlights

 McDonald’s returned in 2024 with an even stronger presence. Despite last-minute logistical changes due to hurricane relief deployments, the team pivoted quickly, swapping the Fry Truck for a branded McDonald’s Airstream Camper and maintaining high engagement.


Attendees enjoyed 25,000+ product samples including Guava & Crème Pies, Chocolate Chip Cookies, and Coca-Cola beverages. A branded photo booth offered social media-ready keepsakes reaching more than 17K online. Outreach included details about the HACER scholarship, McDonald’s hiring, and mobile app resulting in 170 app engagements. Local Owner/Operators joined on stage with RMHC to raise awareness about philanthropy and disaster relief initiatives.
